Lake Avalon in Bella Vista, Arkansas is known is known for being the Original Lake in Bella Vista. Construction of the lake was completed in 1968. Lake Avalon is the largest lake in Bella Vista with a “no wake” setting, and as a result, it provides a peaceful setting with tons of room to enjoy quiet fishing or paddling.
Lake Avalon in Bella Vista, Arkansas covers 67 acres and has a maximum depth of 50 feet.
The productive, green-tinted water supports one of the densest fish populations in the village, second only to Lake Windsor. Sunfish species are abundant in here, including many large bluegills, redear sunfish, green sunfish and warmouth sunfish in shoreline areas. All of these fish serve as prey for a lively population of largemouth bass. These fish can be accessed from POA facilities at either end of the lake.

Amenities at Lake Avalon Park include a boat ramp with courtesy dock, a Pavilion, horseshoe pits and restrooms. Amenities at Lake Avalon’s dam include a multi-use dock, three fishing piers, a heated fishing dock with a fish cleaning station, an automatic fish feeder, nighttime fishing lights and restrooms.
I’m going to try and capture images from each of the lakes in Bella Vista this year so I can show the world just how beautiful it really is where we live. Since this is the original lake in Bella Vista, it’s a great place to start.
