There comes a time in everyone's life when you just feel like giving up. It might be something as simple as an argument that you've recently had with a spouse, a sibling or even your child. Troubles at work can make you feel as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders. We've all been there at one time or another. You feel as if life is just too much of a hassle and you'd rather run away from it all! I've felt like that as an adult. But something inside of us keeps reminding us that we HAVE to go forward. We just have to! If you think about it, there's really no choice. It may seem like the only way to go is down, but in reality, you can start going forward no matter where you're at. It's only been within the last few years that I realized from my Pastor that it's the Holy Spirit that gives us the desire to move forward. I've learned that the Holy Spirit will control more of our thoughts than we realize if we only open up our hearts and minds to listen!

 

I honestly believe that God Almighty had His hand upon my life from the very beginning. From the time I started stealing from hospital emergency rooms to the first foster home I was sent to, God had a plan for my life. It was sure hard to see it as a child. It was even harder to see it as an adult. Once we reach adulthood, we grow hard in our ways. Bitter towards the past and almost certain that life is just a big bully. We've all heard the saying "set in my ways", right? This is just another attempt from Satan to make us believe there's no hope for the future. A lie that says we can't change no matter how hard we try. We believe the only way to survive is to strike first and never look back to ask questions.
