Statesboro Inn Review

The Statesboro Inn, Located at 106 S. Main in Statesboro, Georgia is a cozy little place at first.

The Co-Owner is a little less than informative when you’re talking to him on the phone and even less so in person. I don’t think he’s a very good people person. If you saw him on the street, you’d never know he owned part of a hotel!

My first impression was a good one. We stayed in The Cottage, so I can’t really talk about the rooms in the main house. The Cottage, at first glance, is something you can’t wait to try out! The bed was nice and cozy. Very comfortable! I have no complaints at all about the bed.

The wiring in the house is another story… It’s almost scary! In order to use the garbage disposal in the half kitchen, you have to turn off the sink light. It took us a while to figure that one out! If you want to turn the closet light on in the master bedroom, you have to flip the switch in the next bedroom. The whole house is wired funny like that.

All in all it wasn’t a bad place. It’s got some history to it, but that shouldn’t keep the owners from keeping it updated. Especially when it comes to electrical.

They did have a pretty good hot breakfast. Grandma and the kids went 2 times in 2 weeks, but they said it was pretty good! The kids wanted to go more but Grandma didn’t like the idea of having to get up before 9:00 am and walk 200 feet in the cold!
